I am multi-faceted software engineer with over a decade experience building business critical applications and services and part time open source enthusiast. Xogito Group, Inc

Senior Fullstack Javascript Engineer
Joining a highly anticipated project in its prototyping phase, I worked meticulously along team leads to design and develop scalable software cloud native micro-service and serverless architectures deployed on AWS services, write business documentation and maintain diagrams for existing and future workflows.

Further focusing my work around NodeJS tooling, I helped deploy an org-wide private NPM registry using Verdaccio and maintained multiple repositories and modules, created and improved GitLab CD workflows for advanced database migrations and seeding flows using Sequelize on top of PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch.

After a successful MVP I partially automated feature development and testing while working close with product owners and managers to deliver feature-flagged solutions. With a team of mature and critical people following fine-grained company standards and practices, I could interact with DevOps, TechOps, QA and Native Developers on a daily basis, providing transparency for mission critical backend features while rapidly developing new features.

With such a great team, I am proud to have won the Xogito Group's "Kudos of the Month" mention in the internal company newsletter two months in a row.

Sector 1, Bucharest
Senior Fullstack Javascript Engineer
During my brief contract with Under Development Office I helped implement premium features to existing 3rd party React UI kits and backends, managed private GitHub contributions and got more familiar with existing Blockchain implementations and 3rd party service providers: AWS, Infura, Twilio, Sendgrid.

I then joined a small team working on a commercial real estate securities application, helping define backend deliverables and providing secure modern solutions for existing requirements. Having exposure to a commercial KYC behind a Blockchain-as-a-Service was a very exciting and rewarding experience !

E2Save Mobiles
Feb 2015 - Jul 2015
I joined the project in a problem solving position, midway during development of a long planned and well defined re-design.
Most of the tasks defined with senior managers and product owners were then re-assigned internally with a focus on efficiency .

Some notable contributions:
- implemented a Gulp build system for better asset management
- implemented Sass CSS pre-processing
- updated the vagrant environment with Ansible playbooks to mirror the release environment
- created and maintained a Bamboo continuous integration plan for development and release environments
- created several microservices to interact with Solr and a Symfony Framework backend
- authored a microservices generator
- implemented several custom filter pages based on given design and/or markup
- optimised various aspects of the application based on 3rd review
- communicated with stakeholders and development managers on a daily basis
- frontend cleanup, code deduplication and optimisation, javascript assessment and plugin cleanup
- search engine and page speed optimisation under peer review

In order to implement NodeJS along an existing standardised Symfony Framework backend I was required to write and distribute a number of technical solution proposals that would be reviewed by senior managers and required company-wide technical sign-off.
Some of these solution proposals, once accepted, were repurposed for business use, making them understandable by non-technical people.
Flax Computers
Dec 2009 - Dec 2010
Created and maintained an in-house PHP content management framework built on top of Zend and Symfony components, following SEO best practices and performance optimisation.
Coded pixel-perfect frontend based on Photoshop design using html5/css3 and in-house preprocessor.
The first project I built and released on this framework was Flax Computers, a well established regional leader electronics retail and repair shop with a growing online user base.

With constant commercial requirements, Flax Computers quickly matured our framework into an abstract commercial solution featuring:
- daily automated and on-demand 3rd party provider product, pricing and stock updates
- distributor aggregation and management
- national and international payment gateways implementations
- automated configurable invoicing
- automated order handling and updates

With this well defined commercial backend and a strict set of frontend optimisation techniques I was able to watch over planning, development and release over 200 websites; With most of these projects being executed in a team, I've switched roles many times, leveraging from building both the backend and the frontend towards coaching my team and improving the experience of undocumented users.

Law
Dec 2007 - Dec 2008
Studying Law felt very rewarding on a personal level but after the first semester I faced some serious personal struggle and decided to drop out. Spending the next couple of months chasing junior positions in various industries I decided to pursue a career in software development. Looking forward to resume my studies in a full remote environment, hopefully in the near future.
Ienăchiță Văcărescu National College
High School Diploma, Mathematics and Computer Science
Dec 2003 - Dec 2007
With a few familiar faces in a new environment, it was easy to reprise my role as class president and for the first two years of high school pursued the state Informatics Olympics.

Overall I got more involved in human topics like Psychology, Philosophy and Literature. Being able to see my own limitations, I decided to start working towards becoming a better human being.

I passed the 2008 Romanian Baccalaureate with a 91/100 average score, notable 100/100 on the written Romanian Language and Literature exam.
Ioan Alexandru Brătescu-Voinești
Certificate of Completion, Mathematics
Dec 1995 - Dec 2003
During 4th grade I achieved the highest score in the state at the Mathematics Olympics.

From 5th to 8th grade I continued pursuing the Mathematics Olympics with good state round results but never qualified for the Romanian National Team.

I was elected class president 3 years running due to my high grades and displayed leadership qualities and an ability to get along with a wide range of people.
