As a Technical Team Lead during the Andela Stack-up program, I
worked closely with software developers in training. My work with them
included:
- Providing coaching and mentoring support.
- Conducting code reviews and provide feedback based on standard programming practices.
- Observing and evaluating them based on key performance indicators.
- Keeping and reporting data on each member of my team.

As an Associate Software Engineer at Andela, I was an integral part of
various technical teams; both on-site and remote, in building complex web
applications while adhering to engineering best practises.
Projects
- Authors Haven: A blogging web application where users could post, read and react to blog post through comments and likes. I was part of both the front-end and back-end development.
Back-end: Node JS, Express and PostgreSQL.
Front-end: React JS and Redux JS.
- Converge: A meeting room management and scheduling application for both the web and Andriod mobile devices. I worked on the backend of this project.
Back-end: Python 3, Flask and GraphQL.

In this position I led the design and analysis of the Practical Education Network's (PEN) impact data efforts, leveraging strong technical and programming skills. I also coordinated PEN's daily activities. My detailed responsibilities were:
- Crafting PEN’s overarching impact assessment goals and efforts
- Designing and implementing strategies for monitoring and evaluation.
- Managing other workers in data and impact-related work.
- Analysing existing workshop data (writing automated scripts, generating relevant plots, assessing trends, using findings to generate recommendations for the organization’s next steps)
- Digitizing data (scanning paper documents, conducting data entry)
- Conducting interviews and collecting survey data in the field
- Designing research strategies to improve PEN’s operations
- Communicating impact information to relevant stakeholders
