Android Developer
Successfully helped launch the Yuh app and currently refactoring and maintaining the Trading app, including the full development of the crypto trade mask. My responsibilities include:
- Kotlin / Java development in Android Studio using modern features (SDK 23+, Jetpack Components, Flow)
- Handling everything related to the app, from implementing designs to communicating with the backend and everything in between, both as part of a team and independently
- Participated in the design and implementation of Clean Architecture with MVVM
- Integrated and refactored significant parts of an external and poorly documented facial and document recognition library and migrated it to Kotlin, while also keeping its size as small as possible
- Rewrote significant parts of the Trading app to Kotlin without clear specifications or API definition
- Coordinating with the iOS team, as well as Design and Business
- Proposed useful changes such as the error handling redesign, refreshable LiveData, date handling and many others

I really enjoy the team dynamic and the fact that we're working on a new project with modern technologies. Proud of the fact that I'm doing my part in a team of people with impressive backgrounds.

Mobile Developer
As a cross-platform mobile developer, I have worked on our main app, the TokenPay wallet, in an Agile environment with the following technologies and concepts:
- JavaScript, including ES2018 features
- React Native
- worked with a number of RN modules including RNFS, Victory Charts, react-native-languages, react-native-date-picker, etc.
- CI solutions like GitLab and AppCenter
- testing and debugging production code on both Android and iOS

I enjoy this job very much because I'm surrounded by smart, knowledgeable and passionate people, and I have a very varied workload with help from the more senior staff when I find it difficult to progress on my own. I've already learned a lot and am looking to learn even more every day.

I have worked in the Bucharest office until January 2019 and afterwards remotely from Geneva until April 2019 when the app was considered finished.
