My main focus has been the cloud, including providers such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and others. This includes all the relevant technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, databases including NoSQL (Firestore, CosmosDB, and even Elasticsearch). Moreover, since the actual users must be able to consume our applications, I've worked countless hours with Flutter, React, and Vue.

Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Product Engineer
Initially started as an investor and then I joined them as the 7th employee.

Our mission is to give the confidence companies need in order to move and fully leverage what the cloud has to offer. Cyscale is a cloud security platform that helps companies have an overview of their resources, ensure they are secure, follow the best practices, and be compliant (both with standards such as ISO 27001 and customer-defined policies). And one more thing, it does this for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Alicloud with more to come (including standalone Kubernetes).

My role goes from implementing new features and researching novel cloud controls (to protect resources) to discussing marketing, sales, and overall product strategy.

Senior IT Consultant
Sep 2019 - Jul 2021 (1 year 10 months)
Here is what a normal workweek looks like for me in this position.

The main chunk of it (30-35 hours) goes towards technical aspects such as implementing new features (the current project is a B2B API Marketplace based on Azure and serverless with TypeScript), code reviews (this is my favorite way of sharing bits of knowledge every day with my awesome teammates), designing new systems or improving the current architecture and/or processes (mainly to increase the team's confidence which leads to faster development), and testing out new services that might help our product grow (lately I've played with Google Apigee).

The next 5 hours are invested in building the future. Both of the current product (discussing new ideas and features, prioritizing and polishing stories) and of the company (discussing product strategies, the status of various projects, and growing the team in the direction that makes the most sense for us).

And finally, the last 5 hours are spent on building a legacy. This includes interviewing candidates (they have always been a top priority for me), organizing internships, and writing guides such as this one https://bit.ly/32Hxydd (for AWS)
