The previous jobs I have held in food service have given me soft skills that lend itself well to a career as a software engineer. I have a thirst for knowledge and am curious to experiment with new things. I recently finished my training at Flatiron School specializing in software engineering and am looking for opportunities to start my first job as a software engineer.

MyFamilyRecipes: A social media platform where users can post their own recipes and share them with friends. All recipes will populate in a feed where users can like and comment on each recipe.
- Developed a custom database schema and REST API with Active Record, Postgres and Ruby on Rails.
- Utilized Redux and Thunk middleware for asynchronous data retrieval from custom API.
- Built the UI using React.js and Redux to manage the state of application.
Cafe Menu App: A cafe-menu app that allows users to view items based on different menu types and add new items to the menu.
- Modeled a custom database schema and REST API with Active Record, Postgres and Ruby on Rails.
- Implemented vanilla JavaScript and fetched data from custom API asynchronously.
- Created DOM elements utilizing vanilla JavaScript to manipulate HTML and CSS properties.
Rails Cafe Online Ordering: Online menu for a cafe. Shows menu items and allows customers to create online orders. Users with admin roles can add new menu items to the application.
