I joined the company’s architectural team responsible for leading the way to decompose existing solution into services. Both existing implementation and decoupled services were (re-)written in Elixir. I was responsible for designing and implementing those services in line with the expanded functionality requested by the business. My responsibilities included considering all aspects of the implementation, from things like idempotency through resiliency, maintainability to concrete POCs, and initial implementation.

I was tasked with updates to existing Kafka based microservices written in Erlang that are responsible for delivering the content to the user-facing platform.

My role involved working side by side with renowned Haskell consultancy focusing on refactoring custom business-critical systems. Immediately after starting, I was tasked with handling handover, creating documentation and providing new features requested by the business.
