I was deployed to the Power Plant and Utilities Department section of the company were 3 General Electric gas turbines are used to generate electrical power. Below is a list of the few roles that I was assigned to:

Performed panel using the General Electric HMI system. Which included but not limited to :
Monitoring the Gas Turbine state.
Reporting alarming turbine sensor values.
Assisting during the turbine start-up and shut-down procedures.

Performed external operations. Which included but not limited to:
Routine monitoring of the Gas Turbine.
Monitoring of critical turbine parameter: lube oil pressure, fuel gauge, inlet air pressure, gas pressure, flow divider
pressure, cooling air system components e.t.c
Refilling the lube oil tank and checking for excess lube oil spillage.
Working in hand with the mechanical, electrical and instrument maintenance department.
Monitoring battery voltage and current for the Gas turbines.
Monitoring the substations.

I was also given the privileged to train new interns on the basic operations and principles of the plant.
I was also given a brief over view on the steam turbine, HRSG system and the waste water system.

The development of this watch is aimed at increasing productivity by increasing the communication of both staff and students in the community. The watch is centered at creating a connected school community that will provide real time communication to enhance the educational experience for students, staff and management regardless of their location within the school premises. This will enable members of the community to share information in real time. The watch is designed with the Arduino pro-micro as the main processor.
