Excise is one of the few taxes that directly go to the Dutch government and hence are of vital importance for the Netherlands and their position in Europe. At customs Daniel is working on a new Java based excise declaration application. Used programming paradigms are functional and object oriented programming. the daily tasks include attending scrum events and working on user stories. This is done with the SAFe framework. User stories include automated testing(i.e. unit and integration testing). Used technologies are Java EE, Webservices, Apache CXF, Maven, Mapstruct, Jenkins, Nexus, JPA, Splunk, ,IBM Websphere, IBM mq, and DB2. For testing Junit, Mockito and assertj are used.
