I work with some very talented people at a small startup in Atlanta. Our privately funded business venture is booming due to a lack of auditing tools in an ever growing industry. In a nutshell we help companies go public, do business with public companies, and meet GRC objectives by identifying risks and gaps in their IT environment and then help them fill in the gaps.

Most of my job duties include making high level design choices, assisting our development team, and improving our development process.

Coach, motivate, and lead team members to ensure their optimum performance through our strict coding style and best programming practices. Collect, track, and communicate team performance metrics. Make sure developers have the right tools in place to help meet business requirements. Ensure continued development of existing products as well as evolution and delivery of new products are enhancing our Baseology Platform. Recommend and deploy processes and procedures that improve our software development life cycle. Lead up development team to ensure best practices are adhered to for software development methodologies (continuous integration, release management, maintenance, etc.) and projects are delivered successfully.

Worked for a software engineering firm developing SaaS applications in the cloud. With our products companies can ensure compliance and mitigate risk. The advisory side of our firm, Ad Information Technology (AdIT) uses our software for audits and risk assessments. We provide them the tools they need and then we resell these tools to anyone that wants them as a subscription service.

Developed, adapted, and implemented solutions to meet the evolving needs of utility companies worldwide. My job was to enable utility companies to make smarter decisions so their customers can continue to take electricity for granted.

Managed development and implementation on network outage & analytics reporting tool that helped bring outage related reporting into a thin browser. It later became a product that I personally implemented to over 6 utility companies nationwide.

Designed and implemented web applications with onsite training to over 6 utility companies including: Wisconsin Public Service, SnoPUD, LUS, Northwestern Energy, Westar Energy, & PREPA. Had the opportunity to develop & enhance new/existing web applications, web services, & mobile solutions.
