I am skilled in both back-end and front-end development, working with Ruby, Ruby on Rails and modern front-end technologies. My primary skills are in the field of building, shipping Ruby on Rails applications and APIs. I have experience in communication with clients (voice calls, standups), assisting junior developers, pair-programming. I love web development by agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) in practice.

Senior Software Engineer
Participated in 2 projects:
1) Platform that manages electric vehicle chargers - https://www.bppulse.co.uk/

Our team consisted of frontend engineers, backend engineers, quality assurance
engineers, a solution architect, a business analyst, and a project manager. We had
a dedicated infra team that helped our engineers to focus on delivery over configuration.
I've been working on three microservices from many where one was mostly on my
responsibilities. One of the microservices was related to management products that are

2) The food delivery platform offering on-demand and express services from stores
and restaurants - i can't share links to applications by the job terms agreed
with employer.

It's my first experience working in a product environment. It's an established product
having huge income working within 145 cities having more than 3 million orders per
month. I've been working in a team that was related to customer-facing features, the team
has been responsible for everything before/after making an order plus extra changes of existing order which are the main parts of the app bringing revenue.

The most interesting part of the work has been related to the development of public-facing features
and further monitoring with support. Our team has released one of the key features
which had an economical success measured in 2.8 times more than it was planned to
have. We also worked on an anti-fraud fix that saved tens of thousands per
month.

Key goals reached:
- learn working in self-managed teams without project managers
- get familiar with VueJS and its ecosystem
- learn how to produce balanced code where quality and speed are equal - learn how to manage tasks without PMs
- learn how to design epics
- improve developer UX processes
- lead epics from idea till the release

The most exciting part of the work was an improvement in development speed. To do that I have suggested writing some documents before starting work on a big feature. The document contained an overview, goals, user stories, data flow, data model, and raw technical implementation.
Participated in many middle-size projects.
Here are some of them:
1) Platform to buy discount passes and to book flights for Lufthansa and Mile & More - https://milesandmore-discountpass.com/
The project has been built in 3 months by 6 developers. The most interesting part was getting familiar with the airline domain and practicing some Vue.
2) Platform to buy flight passes and book flights for Lufthansa - https://lufthansa- flightpass.com/
The project was built for 2 months by 3 developers. I have led the booking flow to get more familiar with the Business Domain.
3) Platform to help Lufthansa Group to build vouchers due to the COVID-19 pandemic - https://flightvoucher.com/
I have been added to the project to help to extend the product to support more partners for Lufthansa Group such as Swiss, Austrian, Brussels airlines. I have helped the main developer to deliver a big feature on time.
4) Platform for different airlines that allows configuring the booking flow of tickets.
I have been added to the project to integrate oAuth with one of the partners of Lufthansa Group called Miles & More.
The project could have multiple tenants and the complexity has appeared from that to my feature. I had to find a way to configure the OAuth provider to use a setup of the corresponding used domain.

Participated in 4 commercial projects:
1) Big internal app that was working with BingAds and Google Adwords to create ads for existing inventories - Dealer.com(https://www.dealer.com/)
The app was huge, the team had 8 full stack developers.
The complex part of the app was processing of many ads so that it had Sidekiq PRO to use batches in queues.

2) CMS for New York Water Taxi company - https://www.nywatertaxi.com/
I had been working alone on that project with PR reviews of a Teach Lead.
The application had already been made so I had been working on support of the app.

3) Platform to manage lighting colors palette of spires in NY - https://www.spireworks.org/
I had been working for a week there to help team to fix teach debt and introduce new page for live streaming of spires( https://www.spireworks.org/live )

4) Platform to manage product roadmaps by Jobs-to-be-Done(also known as JTBD or Job Theory) to help product, marketing and sales teams - https://www.thrv.com/ and https://app.thrv.com/
Once clients applied to us they had an app that was made by using Sinatra and CoffeeScript. The client understood that the app was not intuitive and slow for users and decided to build new version of the app.
The old app had pretty weird design architecture. It had graph relational model implemented in pure ruby and stored in relational database. Frontend contained MVC framework written on pure CoffeeScript by the devs of the app.
The app was created using rails template of mine. The application mostly was dedicated to two namespaces.
The first namespace had kind of teaching functionality where users were able to see videos and to fill out questionnaires.
Once we started building second namespace I've proposed and introduced modern front-end to fit clients needs and scale up the UI. The module was supposed to manage product roadmaps and different resources for them to define success path for company to grow up.

Simple Images Downloader
Sep 2020 - Sep 2020
This gem allows you download images from either source file with list of urls or plain url. The urls must be non redirectable. For now the feature is unsupported. The gem uses OpenURI class under the hood and is able to download as small files less than 10KB as large files 100MB.
Aws Rekognition Client
Mar 2018 - Aug 2020
It's simple a client for AWS Recognition Service. It was made as an alternative to aws-sdk gem as at that time the gem was not modular and it had come with a lot of services within one gem. It's still in progress don't have enough time to finish.
