Ever since I was a little boy, I always have been fascinated with science and technology and have been very keen on reading encyclopedias and tech shows at the time. At that time, I was not particular about computers but rather about technology in a general sense. For instance, I have been particularly interested in satellites, airplanes, military equipment, and construction equipment. When I became a teenage high school student, my interests in technology became more focused on programming as I figured that the sense of solving a complex puzzle suited me very well, and that's what programming has made me feel at that time. Also, it'll be a cost-effective endeavor compared to other disciplines that are also quite complex. I started my programming journey when we were taught Visual Basic at school and have expanded it on my own to create small desktop applications such as lending management software for our family business and keylogger tools. Eventually, I moved to web development, starting with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and have explored server-side using PHP. When I became very passionate about computer programming, specifically web development, it carried me to my college education at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan, where I took Computer Science. At the same time, I have started offering my freelance services to local businesses that want to have a simple website. My Computer Science education and freelancing experience gave me the necessary knowledge and confidence to undertake a very complex thesis - to learn about Machine Learning and create an expert system that would help suggest a developmental disorder in psychology. Together with my groupmates, I was awarded the best thesis among all thesis groups in the Computer Science department. After being awarded and has left Xavier University to join the workforce, web and backend development became my foundation in my career successes. My knowledge and experience have expanded ever since, from simple HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL, to exploring newer technologies such as VueJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, Laravel, and many more to mention. I also have added mobile development altogether in my experience. Recently, I have been learning and proficiently working on AWS technologies such as serverless, S3, SQS, and SNS. Even with my overwhelming experiences today, I am still passionate about learning technology as technology quickly advances as time goes by.
