Building and maintaining both customer facing and internal React Web apps which deliver a large portion of the bank’s digital services on the web and mobile platforms.
A large portion of my time has been spent helping modernise and rebrand the bank’s existing estate from it’s legacy heritage brands to the brighter Virgin Money experience. This involves a lot technical debt fixing and figuring out how to migrate the internal data and state architectures of web apps to more streamlined approaches that are safer and easier to maintain.
I’ve played a key role in maintaining and up dating front end build tool with webpack and rollup, with an interest in producing the most optimal and safest JavaScript runtime code with Babel to support customers that run in legacy browsers.
