After my period as an individual contributor, I was promoted to the leader role of the team I joined at Kinsta. Besides my technical duties, I extended my scope to activities like:
- Coordinating regular meetings
- Project planning
- People management tasks such as periodical performance reviews, career conversations
- Hiring for the team
- Acting as the team's interface to other departments such as SysOps, Product Design and Research, higher level management

I decided to make a bit of change in the direction of my carreer, so I moved to Kinsta to fulfill the responsibility of a full-time JavaScript Developer. Here I immediately started to contribute to the company's own product called DevKinsta, which is a cross-platform desktop application supporting Wordpress site developers with a Docker-based local environment. Main responsibilities:
- Develop and test features of the app
- Review & test Pull Requests
- Be part of an international team, contribute to the team's success with ideas and sharing experiences

Similarly to the previous role, I'm leading a tool developer team that targets several engineering and management user groups with various types of software products, such as

- Web APIs
- Web Applications and Custom Web Dashboards for Data Visualization
- 3rd party Reporting Dashboards for various types of data (Splunk, TeamScale, PowerBI)
- Desktop tools to perform specific engineering steps and V&V use cases


In this team, my role is to
- Define overall strategy, Product Vision and Roadmap for the whole tool chain
- Keep contact with stakeholders, derive user stories from their wishes

- Research innovative technical solutions for various fields (for DevEx, CX - especially Continuous Deployment, Clean Code and Design, Working Models) and try to apply them in the daily life of the team

- Develop features using up-to-date technologies: Express, Vue.js, REST, GraphQL, MongoDB, Neo4J, Docker, Splunk

- Contribute to System Architecture using principles of microservice architecture

The team is international, shared between Germany and Hungary, counts 9 developers (including myself) with different backgrounds plus trainee colleagues.

I act as leader of our small agile team and the Product Owner for the WPF desktop tool that we provide for engineers in the organization.

As a team coordinator, I

- lead regular SCRUM meetings
- strongly collaborate with software architect
- set up, configure & develop CI/CD infrastructures, pipelines
- set up, configure & develop Code Quality concept, automated static analyis and quality goals
- design and develop Testing Strategy
- review requirements, software architecture models, code, test cases and software behaviour
- support intern collegue in becoming full-value dev team member
- deliver features in C# / .NET for WPF apps with .NET Standard class libraries.

As a product owner, I

- plan strategy & create product roadmap
- keep strong relationship with stakeholders (interviews, discussions, retrospectives)
- collaborate with users during their ongoing projects (Active Product Ownership)
- create Product Backlog via User Story Mapping
- prioritize Product Backlog, refine it together with the Team
- perform and plan UX activities (inteview, iterative prototyping)
- review requirements and feature
- plan software releases
- organize stakeholder reviews
