I was delegated with two tasks and one of them was to analyze the current procedure of aligning the dowels that are hammered to swing gear to the hole which is provided in the upper frame of excavators (200D, 210D, and 300D) which requires human presence and may cause accidental fatality to the worker while working under the upper part of excavator weighing around 4 tonnes. I worked with CATIA V5 for modeling the alignment bolt and used SolidWorks Simulation for analyzing the stress and came up with a solution which is safe for human. I also had the task of validating and implementing the solution in an excavator assembly line to test it physically. I also evaluated the design and documented the solution.

Breakdown Vehiche Lifter and Mover (BVLAM)

The purpose of this project is to overcome the problems/drawbacks of the conventional jacks and improvising it in order to increase safety and reduce physical labor.
The goal would be achieved with the following specific objectives:
1. Selection of materials and components which includes motor, mechanical links, and Jack.
2. Modeling of vehicle lifter and mover using Solid works.
3. Analysis of vehicle lifter and mover using Solid works and ANSYS.
4. Fabrication of the model, chassis, and assembly of vehicle lifter and mover model.
5. Performance testing and evaluation of results
Vertical axis highway windmill

We successfully completed the construction (prototype) of a vertical axis highway windmill by designing it from scratch. We chose the suitable materials and outsourced few electrical/electronic components. We actively participated in manufacturing processes of the wing blades, shaft and casings etc. We calculated theoretical and experimental solutions by considering the technical aspects and engineering principles.
