Less is more. We type, click and search. Everyone is now speeding up and rushing to get the utmost of everything and, as an Engineer, my goal is not to stop you, rather to help you get it done faster. No senses, no world. Like with my own personality, I think cognition is a cardinal part in every intelligent system. I cannot know the world moving around me if I don’t perceive it. That is why Technical Cognition and Machine Learning are one of my passions since I discovered them. Robotics is a great industry, where the machines are tireless helpers of society, but when it comes to achieve a true intelligent machine with the best awareness of the world, there is no other choice than the field where I gladly burn my midnight oil: Robotics. I am never afraid to get my hands dirty with some Artificial Intelligence challenges and their most imaginative solutions. Everything is improvable and I am willing to demonstrate it wherever I am. The challenge of optimization in computing is in my point of view a very fundamental and interesting topic for any innovative system. Although some may call me old-fashioned, a good C++ application is not out of my hand, with their respective prototyping in Matlab. Recently I also became very familiar with Python and I haven’t stopped using it every day. But ideas should not stay as doodles in papers nor as bits in computers. Viewing projects is nice, having them working in the computer is good, but when it comes to make things real and have them right there in front of you, I am also ready to put myself in action and build a great project from zero if needed. Tracking? Sensor Fusion? ROS? You name it! No tool is a barrier, they’re all part of the solutions to get a simple and good-looking product. Yes, product, because in the end we all want to have our creations in real life. Don’t get me wrong, that is why I am here, to make it faster and simpler. In a word: better. There are no other goals in Engineering. Keep innovating!
