I like to define myself as a Software Geek. I’ve been in love with programming languages, computers and software since I was a kid. It always amazed me how close to magic software can be. I started coding more seriously during my teenage years and never stopped. Although nowadays I have a different set of responsibilities, I still code on a daily basis. Over the past twelve years, I built digital products of all sizes, from small shops to platforms with hundreds of thousands of users, and designed systems and processes for companies in various industries like finance, real estate, gaming, telecommunications, etc. I’m currently working at Portocred, leading the technology efforts in our innovation branch, called Portolab. In just over a year we managed to deliver a multi-platform application, where our customers can apply for a personal loan in less than five minutes, on a fully digital experience, leveraging the power of open finance. Our technology stack includes front-end tools like React, React Native and NextJS, and back-end tools like Serverless and GraphQL, all built on top of languages like Typescript (Node), Rescript and Elixir. I can design and build software of all sizes and flavors using modern technology stacks and I can also scale software engineering teams from one to multiple squads, hiring, mentoring and leading developers of all levels. Besides coding, I enjoy spending my time reading books about history, philosophy and politics, playing my piano or gaming with my friends.
