Graduated with Systems and Biomedical Engineering B.Sc. from Cairo University. Worked on multiple projects that require a diverse skillset from simple desktop/mobile applications to deploying massive machine learning models. Additionally, I have worked on a couple of research projects. Projects I am most proud I worked on: 1- Accelerating Monte Carlo Simulation of Light Propagation in Turbid Tissue using Parallel Computing and Distributed Systems. 2- Marauder Map, built on Triangulation Algorithm for localization and ReactJs for Front-End. 3- Attendance System, using two layers of authentication, QR-Code and a biometric. Exploring fields like Software Product Management and Business Intelligence.

Monte Carlo Simulation of Light Propagation

The simulation of light propagation in biological tissue has always been an important issue for its significant applications in optical imaging and biomedical research. Light modeling gives more information about tissue composition by simulating light-tissue interaction, which helps in the verification and improvement of optical imaging modalities and determining the suitable parameters for real tissue. Therefore, we simulate the process, investigate the results, and act upon them. Biological tissue is considered as a turbid medium that exhibits both strong absorption and scattering, which makes light modeling a complex and challenging problem. Therefore Monte Carlo (MC) simulation was our key to a precise light propagation model as it provides a flexible and rigorous solution for light transport in turbid media. Achieving high accuracy
by simulating a large number of photons is accompanied by high computational cost which limits the range of applicability.
To address this limitation, parallel computation is the most preferred approach for acceleration. We present our model on a distributed system by which we are able of using more than one GPU at the same time, where each GPU is capable
of handling thousands of threads simultaneously, each thread simulates one photon thus we can simulate a huge number of photons. Consequently, we achieve an accelerated model by maintaining the desired accuracy.
