GoodLight collects publicly available data and analyzes the information to assess risks posed by individuals, to proactively uncover anomalies. As a backend engineer on the team, my major responsibilities included restructuring the backend architecture and expanding our existing functionalities. Our user access management system is one of many projects I spearheaded. The major tools I used were python/flask for development and jira for product management.

Weave is a unified communications company that facilitates the interaction between customers and service providers. They specialise in enhancing the communication between medical service providers and customers, specifically in the Dentistry and ophthalmology industries. The perform this role by providing a platform that integrates all communication tools that businesses might use. My role on the team was as a backend engineer on the unified communication team. Using tools such as golang, gRPC and NSQ, I built and maintained various microservices. One of the projects I spearheaded was expanding our SMS system to receive MMS.

Andela invests in Africa’s most talented software engineers to help companies solve the technical talent shortage and build high-performing distributed engineering teams. I teamed up with colleagues in building a backend application that maps human expertise in the field of technology development. The Python/Flask application revealed the topics, work outputs, skills related to global and local technology development and expertise. I also built a number of projects using the MEAN and MERN stacks. Including an application that allows friends and colleagues to create groups for notifications. It enabled people to post notifications to everyone by sending a message once. I've also had the opportunity to work as a technical team lead for an internal product.
