I am a Kenyan student in the Tech space. With a keen interest in cognitive sciences, I spend most of my time pondering new ideas in Computer Science and AI, reading articles on human psychological patterns and doing Programming, Math, and Physics challenges. My overarching ambition is to innovate in the AI space and ultimately build an artificial intelligence model comparable to human intelligence. I also enjoy reading random articles and watching educational videos on particle physics, quantum physics, astrophysics, poetry, and Math. (Side note: Make sure to check out 3Blue1Brown, Minute Physics, and Numberphile on Youtube!). Simply put, I love to study and design systems. Growing up in rural Kenya, surrounded by the harsh realities of poverty, I hope to leverage AI and other emerging technologies to improve people's living standards, especially in third-world countries. In April 2020, I was named a King Scholar at Dartmouth College, a program that identifies and supports students with a passion for leadership and poverty alleviation. When having an easy time, I enjoy photography, art exhibitions, online chess, videogames, listening to music, and catching up on the latest corporate drama and Sci-Fi shows such as The Mind Explained(Netflix), Black Mirror(Netflix), Succession(HBO), and Westworld(HBO).
