As the co-founder and CEO of EventRay, I wear many hats. My background is software engineering and architecture with a focus on scalable / distributed systems. Although I still help out with development on EventRay, my primary job is to design and plan out the product features and development roadmap. Bootstrapping and growing the business instead of taking on traditional VC has been a challenging and rewarding experience. I manage a completely remote team of account managers, sales, and developers that are passionate about helping people learn and improve their lives through face to face meetings and events.

We are a fully distributed team and I manage payroll, accounting, and sales for the entire organization.

Principal Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure)
Built the new generation analytics engine based on a whole new data infrastructure project using Kafka, Zookeeper, and Cassandra.
* Designed a new real-time ETL engine that extracted terabytes of data from SQL Server 2012 and transformed it into 2D arrays that were were encoded in a sparse matrix with variable length data types that tremendously reduced the size of the data and overall query time.
