I was part of a team for an international undergraduate competition developing a motorised 3d-printable fluorescence microscope based on the Raspberry Pi camera and Arduino circuits. I helped with the programming and electronics of the microscope itself, and the website design, while also learning a lot about the different modes and techniques of light microscopy (e.g. brightfield, darkfield, transmission fluorescence and epifluorescence).
