I am an enthousiastic, curious software developer, who enjoys the logical challenges that software development brings. I can learn quickly and when I understand something, I will hold on to that knowledge easily. I pay a lot of attention to what I am doing and how I can improve myself. I have learned to use many languages, from basic web development (HTML, Javascript, CSS, PHP), to Node.js, Python, Java and C/C++. I write code that doesn't just work, but also makes sense intuitively.

Itility

Eindhoven, Netherlands
Software Engineer
Itility is an IT consultancy company that manages the IT for large companies such as ASML and Signify (formerly Philips Lighting). There is a heavy focus on automation and cloud.

As software engineer at Itility I was responsible for designing and building the automations and for an administrative backend for the managed servers. This administrative backend manages and discloses the configurations for the various machines. It also collects a large set of data, such as metrics of the machines and information on the used cloud resources. Additionally, it provided alerting on the gathered data, which allowed live monitoring of the machines.
STORM Eindhoven
Jul 2014 - Nov 2016 (2 years 4 months)
Eindhoven, Netherlands
Software Developer
STORM Eindhoven was a team of 23 students who traveled around the world in 80 days with their self-developed motorcycle, in order to improve the image of electric mobility worldwide.

For this project I have mainly designed and implemented the software for the so-called Body Controller and Battery Management System (BMS). The Body Controller was responsible for all peripheral electronics, such as lights and handlebar. The BMS was responsible for the safety of the battery pack and gathered all crucial information related to it. The BMS in particular posed some unique challenges, due to the modular design of the battery pack.

Aside from my software responsibilities, I was also deeply involved in the hardware design and testing, including electrical safety and homologation for the Dutch state. Additionally, I was technical contact for the live dashboard on which we could be followed during our trip, due to my extensive architectural knowledge of the overall system.
